Tasting Notes
An absolute fruit bomb: this coffee is loaded with strawberry candy, guava jam and lychee flavours. A juicy bubble gum sweetness is balanced by pleasant boozy notes of natural wine, black grape and spiced rum, rounding off with a milk chocolate finish.
Origin Story
Tuang Coffee presents only the best Flores Manggarai* beans. The coffee trees are grown organic in 1400-1600 masl in east side of the Manggarai Region. Manggarai is considered the most fertile area on Flores Island. Flores Island is located in East Nusa Tenggara Province of Indonesia. The coffee trees are mostly surrounded by taro, yum and banana trees. They control and process all the quality to ensure only the best coffee is delivered to the people.
In Flores-Manggarai*, Tuang separates the coffee from its varietal processing method, even from the specific village and farmers. Hence, every bag you receive has its narrowest origin for specific roasting and cupping experience. Tuang Coffee also keep improving the flavour by experimenting with fermentation variables.
About Kamala:
“Kamala” means lotus as well as pale red in Sanskrit. Our take on what Indonesian coffees could be under experimental yet directed post-harvest techniques. Kamala offers different arrays of fruity, boozy and out-of-this-world flavours! We achieved this through the use of mostly anaerobic natural techniques.
*The Manggarai are an ethnic group in western Flores in the East Nusa Tenggara province.
