Bialetti Seal & Filter Plate — Moka Express, Moka Induction, Orzo & Brikka

Regular price $9.00

If your moka pot has started hissing at the seam, taking forever, or producing a thin, sputtery brew, the seal has almost certainly gone. They’re consumable — heat cycles harden the rubber until it can’t hold a seal, and no amount of tightening fixes it. This set has the replacement seal and filter plate for the classic Bialetti range, in the size to suit your pot. Pop the old ones out, press the new ones in, and the pot brews like it did new. Worth keeping a spare in the drawer.

  • Seal and filter plate together — replace both at once for a proper seal
  • Fits the Moka Express, Moka Induction, Orzo Express and Brikka
  • Choose your size to match your pot
  • Restores pressure — a worn seal is the most common cause of slow brewing and weak coffee
  • Genuine Bialetti part — correct diameter and profile, no guesswork
  • Fits in under a minute — no tools needed
  • Hand wash in warm soapy water

Please note this set suits the Moka Express, Moka Induction, Orzo Express and Brikka. The all-stainless models — Venus, Musa, Kitty and Class — take a different seal, even at the same cup size.

When to replace

Most pots need a new seal every one to two years with regular use, sooner if it’s used daily. Replace it if you notice steam escaping from the join, the pot taking noticeably longer to brew, a weak or sputtering flow into the top chamber, or if the seal looks cracked, hardened or flattened. Another good tell: with a healthy seal, the flats on the top and bottom chambers line up when screwed together. If yours no longer do, the seal has compressed. Bialetti recommend replacing the filter plate at the same time.
