What Makes Bun Coffee Truly Organic? Here’s How We Guarantee It
We often get asked: “How do I know your coffee is really organic?”
It’s a fair question—after all, the term “organic” gets thrown around a lot these days. With so many brands claiming to sell organic coffee, how can you be sure what you're drinking is the real deal?
At Bun Coffee, we don’t just say it—we prove it. We’re a certified organic processor, which means we meet strict standards set by an official certifying body. In our case, that's Australian Certified Organic (ACO).

So what does being certified actually mean?
It means that every step of our coffee’s journey — from the farm where it’s grown all the way to your cup — is certified organic. That includes:
- The plantations where the beans are cultivated
- The shippers and warehouses that handle the beans
- The brokers and suppliers we work with
- And, of course, us — Bun Coffee
This comprehensive certification chain allows us to trace every single bean back to its source, with full transparency. Every stage is documented and verified. So when we say our coffee is organic, it’s not just a marketing term — it’s a legally verified fact.
We don’t just claim it. We prove it—regularly.
As part of maintaining our certification, we undergo regular audits. In our most recent audit, we had to prove that every single organic bean we sold over the past 12 months was indeed certified.
That meant digging into every invoice, cross-checking certifications, and providing documentation with certification numbers, Flow IDs, and sourcing details for over 30 tonnes of coffee. It's a detailed, rigorous, and yes, expensive process—but one that we believe is absolutely worth it.
Why do we do it?
Because you deserve to know exactly what’s in your cup. When you choose Bun Coffee, you're not just getting a great-tasting brew — you’re getting the peace of mind that comes from knowing it’s 100% certified organic, from farm to cup.
