The roots of Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee

Flamstead Estate sits at over 3,300 feet above sea level in the area where coffee production first began in Jamaica. In 1728, the Governor of Jamaica, Sir Nicholas Lawes, introduced coffee seedlings in the parish of St. Andrew. Coffee production was first reported at Flamstead, St. Andrew, in 1764.

Coffee production in Jamaica began in the foothills of the St. Andrew mountains and gradually extended into the steep interior of the eastern Blue Mountain range. This includes the ideally suited coffee growing region in the Blue Mountain range, within which Flamstead Estate is located. The coffee benefits from its usual covering by the cool mist of the Jamaican Blue Mountains, and flourishes in the shade of banana, plantain and inga vera trees.

What Makes Our Coffee So Delicious?

Our customers ask us this all the time. And it’s no secret ingredient! At Bun Coffee, we pride ourselves on delivering the freshest coffee in Australia. And the difference is remarkable.

Coffee loses its intense, aromatic flavours over time. Nothing compares to the sensory experience of fresh ground coffee. And as coffee lovers, Bun Coffee prioritises the impact of flavour and freshness on the overall quality of our products.
