This is a unique blend of coffees grown under the banner of the ‘Sustainable Agricultural Network’ and is labeled as ‘Rainforest Alliance Certified’. The program uses agriculture as the center of their efforts to save rainforests and other ecosystems, conserve life-giving soils, protect rivers, wetlands and wildlife, and promote cohesive and progressive rural communities.

The Bun Coffee 100% Organic Blend is the result of many hours of experimentation and trials. The main priority was to create a blend of unsurpassed quality and commercial consistency using only certified organic coffees.
Blended with 'A' grade certified organic Arabica beans from Central & South America and Papua New Guinea this coffee is rich, remarkably smooth, full bodied and highly palatable, with a delightful velvety mouth feel. Exhibiting bittersweet chocolate and hints of liquorice and caramel in the aftertaste. It makes a truly superb espresso.

This coffee is grown in the rich volcanic soils of the Byron Bay hinterland in temperate subtropical northern NSW. It is a coffee from a single plantation. This coffee is grown free from pesticides, processed free from chemicals and only organic fertilisers such as seaweed spray and fish emulsion are used on the crop.
Due to climate and soil type this coffee is naturally low in acidity and caffeine making it smooth and easier on the digestive system than most coffee. Prior to roasting all coffee is hand sorted to remove any inferior beans. The coffee exhibits a rich, smooth sweetness and distinctly earthy flavour unique to our region.

Grown in Columbia this certified organic bean is then transported to Canada where it is naturally decaffeinated using a water processing method whereby only pure water and carbon filters are used to remove 99.9% of all caffeine.
The result is a smooth, full flavoured and creamy caffeine free coffee.
In the Water Process the green beans are soaked in hot water to remove the caffeine and compounds responsible for much of the flavour of the coffee. The first batch of beans is then discarded, while the caffeine is stripped from the solution by means of activated carbon filters. This leaves a solution saturated with flavour compounds, which is then used to soak a new batch of green coffee. The principle is that the solution is saturated with all components soluble in water other than caffeine, and therefore only the caffeine in the bean is allowed to escape whereas the rest of the compounds are in equilibrium.

This blend is a smooth, full flavoured blend with sweetness, brightness and chocolaty overtones which make an extremely flavoursome and smooth milk based coffee with no bitterness. Consisting of 100% Arabica beans originating from Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia and Ethiopia. It was created in 1994 to satisfy the particularly demanding criteria of an extremely successful café owner and has been in use in many café's in Sydney ever since.
